Refund & Return Policy

Effective date: October 2, 2026

Because Driftless Research supplies research materials whose chain of custody, storage, handling, and integrity cannot be verified after shipment, all sales are final once an order ships.

ALL SALES ARE FINAL ONCE SHIPPED. Driftless Research does not accept returns and does not provide refunds for shipped orders except in the limited circumstances below.

No returns

We do not accept product returns after shipment. Once research materials leave our control, we cannot verify how they were stored, handled, transported, opened, altered, transferred, or used.

No refunds after shipment

Except as specifically stated below, orders are nonrefundable after shipment. Refunds are not provided for change of mind, ordering the wrong product or quantity, failure to review product information, ordinary carrier delays, improper storage or handling, or any human/veterinary or otherwise prohibited use.

Cancellation before shipment

Cancellation may be requested before fulfillment or shipment. If we are able to stop the order before fulfillment or carrier transfer, the amount paid will be returned to the original payment method.

Damaged, incorrect, missing, or lost orders

For a verified fulfillment error or carrier loss/damage, our primary remedy is replacement or reshipment. Delivered-order problems must be reported within 7 calendar days. Packages marked delivered but not received should be reported within 3 business days of the delivery scan.

Limited refund exceptions

If replacement or reshipment is unavailable or impracticable, Driftless Research may refund the affected item and associated shipping charge. We may also refund when required by law, a card network, an acquiring bank, or a payment processor.

Product quality concerns

Material defect or nonconformity claims must be reported within 7 calendar days. Do not return any product unless Driftless Research provides written instructions.

Shipping charges

Shipping charges are nonrefundable except when an order is canceled before shipment or when a refund is appropriate for a verified fulfillment error, loss, damage, or another circumstance above.

Chargebacks and disputes

Customers should contact Driftless Research first so we can investigate and resolve transaction problems. Nothing in the policy limits rights that cannot legally be waived, including applicable payment-network rights.
