These Terms govern your use of the Driftless Research website and any purchase from Driftless Research LLC. By using the website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

1. About Driftless Research

Driftless Research LLC is a Wisconsin limited liability company. Business correspondence may be sent to PO Box 36, Hudson, WI 54016. Customer and compliance inquiries may be sent to josh@driftlessresearch.com.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to use this site or place an order. You represent that any purchase is lawful in your jurisdiction and that you have the knowledge, facilities, and authority reasonably necessary to receive and handle the products you order.

3. Research-use-only products and prohibited uses

By purchasing an RUO product, you represent that it is being acquired solely for lawful research, laboratory, analytical or educational purposes; that it will not be used in or on humans or animals; and that you are responsible for lawful receipt, handling, storage, use, transport and disposal.

4. No medical advice or medical claims

Content on this website is provided for general commercial, technical, and research-information purposes only. Nothing on this site is medical, veterinary, diagnostic, treatment, dosing, compounding, or patient-care advice.

5. Product information and documentation

We make reasonable efforts to describe products accurately. Product specifications, appearance, packaging, lot information, availability, and documentation may change. Certificates and third-party analytical documents relate only to the identified material or lot and do not establish suitability or approval for human or veterinary use.

6. Orders and acceptance

Your order is an offer to purchase. We may accept, decline, limit, or cancel an order before shipment for reasons including availability, suspected fraud, pricing or listing errors, compliance concerns, legal restrictions, payment authorization, or inability to fulfill the order. If we cancel a paid order before shipment, we will refund the canceled amount.

7. Pricing, taxes, and payment

Prices are shown in U.S. dollars unless stated otherwise. Applicable taxes, shipping charges, and other disclosed charges are added at checkout. Payment services may be provided by independent processors, gateways, acquiring banks and card networks.

8. Shipping

Shipping is governed by our Shipping Policy.

9. Refunds and order problems

Refunds, cancellations, damaged shipments, incorrect orders and product-conformity concerns are governed by our Refund & Return Policy.

10. Customer responsibilities

You are solely responsible for evaluating whether the receipt and proposed research use of a product are lawful and appropriate for your institution, location, facilities and research purpose, and for appropriate training, protective equipment, storage, labeling, documentation, containment and disposal.

11. Intellectual property

The Driftless Research name, website design, text, graphics, logos, photographs, product presentation, and other original site content are owned by or licensed to Driftless Research LLC and protected by applicable law.

12. Third-party content and links

Third-party laboratory documents, scientific publications, manufacturer information, links, and other third-party materials remain the responsibility of their respective authors or providers.

13. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the website is provided on an “as available” basis. Nothing in these Terms is a warranty or representation that any RUO product is safe, effective, approved, or appropriate for human or veterinary use.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Driftless Research LLC and its members, employees, contractors, suppliers, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from the website, an order, or misuse of a product. Where permitted, our aggregate liability relating to a specific order will not exceed the amount paid for the product giving rise to the claim.

15. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Driftless Research LLC from third-party claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable costs arising from unlawful use, prohibited use, resale representations, mishandling, or material breach of these Terms.

16. Compliance with law

You must comply with all laws and regulations applicable to your purchase, possession, handling, research use, transfer, and disposal of products. RUO labeling describes intended use; it does not waive, replace, or override any legal or regulatory requirement.

17. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information are described in our Privacy Policy.

18. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. To the extent a dispute may lawfully be resolved in court, you and Driftless Research consent to the state or federal courts with jurisdiction in or serving St. Croix County, Wisconsin.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted when you place an order applies to that order unless law requires otherwise.

20. Severability and waiver

If a provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of future enforcement.
